Can I see the doors in a showroom or show home?
Yes you can see our doors in any of our 3 showrooms (Kent / London / Wiltshire), details can be found here.
In some cases, we can arrange for you to visit real installations of ours at previous customers’ properties.
How long is the warranty?
The doors come with a 10 year warranty which covers everything except the glass which comes with a 5 year warranty.
Can I buy the doors on a supply only basis?
Unfortunately we do not offer our product on a supply-only basis. The survey and the installation is simply too important to get wrong. So we insist on one of our in-house installation teams doing the job, often using one of our Oscar 600 offroad robots or a crane to ensure everything is efficiently and safely installed.
Do you come to survey my project?
Yes. Whilst it is possible to order off plan drawings if ordered early enough, we always recommend having us survey the project as it means you are not fully responsible for the sizes and vastly reduces the likelihood of any errors. It is also essential that we assess the access on site.
We are always working on shortening our lead time to ensure the build doesn’t come to a standstill while you are waiting for the glazing to be installed.
The survey is also particularly important for ensuring that we achieve a flush floor level where the finished floor level on the inside and/or the outside is flush.
Are the doors custom made for my aperture?
Yes everything is made to measure. There are no ‘stock sizes’ with our doors. We always survey before manufacture to ensure no mistakes are made and flush floor levels are achieved.
How large can you make the doors?
The maximum size per panel is 4.2m wide and 3.2m high as long as you don’t exceed 9 sqm per panel.
The maximum size per panel is slightly reduced with triple glazing.
How long is the lead time and how long does the installation take?
From signed off survey drawings and deposit payment, our lead time is 6-12 weeks.
As an estimate, 3-4 sets of sliding doors can be installed per day.
What colours do the doors come in?
We only offer 4 colours.
- Brushed Platinum (Anodised) – view gallery
- RAL7016 Matt Anthracite Grey (PPC) – view gallery
- RAL7021 Matt Black Grey (PPC) – view gallery
- RAL9005 Matt Jet Black (PPC) – view gallery
All colours are all marine-grade to 60 microns as standard.
All polyester powder coated colours are Matt at 30% gloss level.
Firstly and most importantly, by only offering 4 colours, we are able to stock profile in all 4 colours, which means we don’t order materials order by order and we are not at risk of powder coaters or any other supply chain issue causing us and our clients delays.
Secondly, even when we offered a larger colour range, we found that our customers were consistently choosing from a small handful of colours anyway and we have found it is a much less overwhelming customer experience to only have 4 colours to choose from.
Can I have opening corner sliding doors?
Yes we offer opening corner doors where the entire corner of the doors opens up. There is some additional structural steelwork involved to achieve fully open corners.
For opening corner configurations with our system you can even have irregular tracks meeting one another at the corner. For example, you can have a triple track door meeting a double track door at the floating corner.
Head over to our sliding corners gallery to see how these look.
Can I have pocket sliding doors?
Yes, our system is highly versatile and can be configured as cavity pocket doors.
With our system pocket doors are a cost-effective way to achieve the architectural ‘wow’ factor.

How thin is the frame? What is the sightline?
Our central interlock sightline is 20mm and the outer frames at sides and head are all 50mm.
However, we have designed our door so that using our standard detail of a flush floor level and concealing the 40mm of the outer frames at the sides and head with render/cladding, you will actually only see a 20mm frame all the way around the door. This means that you can achieve a perfect visual symmetry.
How does the lock work and is it compliant with PAS24 and/or Document Q?
The lock is a stainless steel solenoid bolt operated by a Niko Home Control switch. Technical details of the lock and wiring instruction are available on request. They are very simple to wire in (much like a light switch) and can be easily integrated into a smart home system.
The lock ‘fails secure’ in the case of a power cut and it has a manual override pull cord in the case of a fire.
The robustness and strength of the locking system is how the doors, as standard, were able to achieve PAS24:2016.
This locking mechanism is also key for us achieving the 20mm sightline all around and is how it has no visible handle.
Document Q is part of building regulations and specifies that certain items within new builds must have laminated glass for additional security. We can supply our doors with laminated glass as required.
What is the u-value and what different glass spec options are available?
The overall u-value for our standard and solar double glazing is 1.2.
We offer an upgrade to triple glazing, which gets the overall u-value down to an impressive 0.7. We can supply triple glazing on panel sizes up to 5.4 sqm per panel.
We offer solar control glass as an alternative option, which improves the g-value (solar gain). The differences between the standard and solar specifications can be found in our brochure, available to download on this website.
All of our units are high performance low-e coated, argon-filled units with black warm edge composite spacer bars. All of our units are made with toughened safety glass.
How thick are the glass units and the individual panes?
All of our glazed units come in a total thickness of 36mm. The standard is 28mm so by using a thicker glazed unit, it means that on the larger door sets, we don’t risk the glass panes bowing and touching in the middle. It also aids our thermal performance.
The glazed units are comprised of 2 panes of glass both at least 6mm and can be up to 10mm depending on the overall sqm of the glazed unit.
Can I have the door track flush with my floor levels?
Absolutely! Our system is designed to be installed with flush floor levels inside and out. Check out this flush track gallery.
The whole ethos and vision for our product is to bring the outside in. This is why the vast majority of our installations, the client chooses to have their internal and external floor levels flush with the top of our track.
You can choose not to have a flush external floor level (a step down to the outside) but it is necessary to have the internal floor level flush with the top of our track.
Can I have blinds inside or next to my doors?
For reasons of privacy and overheating some of our clients are keen to install blinds next to our doors.
We can supply with you a recessed blind box that is designed to fit in flush with your ceiling level so that when the blinds are fully up, they are not visible. Head over to our concealed blinds gallery to see how these look. You can also purchase blind boxes from elsewhere if you prefer.
We only supply the blind box, we do not supply the blinds themselves but can recommend a supplier.
Our sliding doors are far too large to have blinds inside the glass units, and besides, we don’t recommend these for aesthetic and reliability reasons.
Can I have trickle vents in the doors?
No, like most slimline systems, our system is not available with trickle vents.
There are of course alternative means of ventilating the space, which include:
- An electrical system like VENTI – this is in our opinion the best solution, please ask us for more details
- Another trickle vented window or opening skylight/Velux
- Air bricks
- Air source heat pump or MVHR system
Our doors also allow you to lock the door in a semi-open position of 100mm, giving some ventilation into the room without compromising on security.
What do you do to support the environment?
We are partnered with Ecologi and have committed to planting 20 new trees on our customer’s behalf with every order we receive. You can see how many trees we have planted on our profile.
